two quick questions on your BooYa system:
1. What time frame are you working with - EOD or intraday?
2. Does this work in either direction?

Glad to hear - a scary ride there for a while. Patience is a virtue I am still trying to attain. Congrats on your discipline on that trade.
I'm still holding off on any long plays until tomorrow at the earliest. This market is crazy right now - earnings that should drive stocks up are triggering small meltdowns - seems like peole are looking for a reason to exit with whatever profits they have to date.
Also, Institutional Investors in in Distribution mode right now, and have been for several days. I'd rather sit in cash for a bit longer.

I sure wish my golf game would improve ... drove 17 hours to play mediocre ......
As for the market not making sense, I find that it rarely does ...... thats one reason I try to stick with a disciplined system .... and hopefully it pans out again here ...
One other thing, there is usually a slight upward bias the last couple days of the month, so I am pretty certain things will turn around shortly, in the short term anyways .....

You might enjoy this tidbit:
http://vixandmore.blogspot.com/2009/10/vix-currently-20-over-10-day-moving.html
The VIX is more than 22% above its 10 day moving average, which is almost unprecedented. While I still feel that we could have another down day tomorrow, this is fairly compelling evidence for a short term reversal.
Of course, I said that yesterday as well. And maybe thought it the day before.

As I said this morning we still have head room, all we need is one more day to hit the top. Likely scenario is the VIX opens high then sell off the rest of the day....this is nothing more than a guess and what happened the last three times we were here, could this be #4???

I am averaging in, so if the market continues to sell off, I will keep adding for another couple days
