"Since DMA 28 can predict the future, why doesn't someone run a scan to see if any terrorists are going to bomb any pipelines or not?"
rotflmao
I saved a few charts of stocks from a month ago, and guess what? The DMA 28,-14 has moved from the point it was at. Not much better than a moving average.

It would be an insult to the average trader's intelligence, but GOOG looks like it's planning another dead cat bounce up to $400. Well, who sez those who do not learn from history are destined to repeat the same mistake? Moi.

nikoschopen,
I can believe Google might tag $400 to test resistance again. If history is repeated Google should be in a narrow channel for the next 3 month and than move up for two months and than sideways for 5 months etc etc.
I personally don't believe that up is in Googles near future. I am looking at a price target of ~$303 in the short term. Atleast to fill the gap from 10/21/2005. This estimate is a little larger than the drop that happened last Feb but I feel the tech sector is a little more uncertantity right now. Yahoo, Google, Nokia, and Apple (to name a few) are all feeling the weight of these concerns.
My $.02

Yepher,
What I meant by history repeating itself (or the lack thereof) is the irrational belief that Google would advance forever once fostered by the eternal optimists. Should Google bounce back up to $400, don't be a naive fool to think "it just might be different this time." But, then again, it was the gullible amongst us that led to the buying frenzy in the first place.

Can we finally rubberstamp anything and everything relating to oil with my favorite four-letter word? I just can't hold back my tears as I see them fall on their ass.

When was the last time you had a really good doughnut only to puke right back up when you saw the company's chart? Needless to say, Krispy-without-the-Kreme comes to mind. It has made a nice leap within the past 2 weeks, breaking above its 4-month high. A person of infinite wisdom, who got burned once & now twice indifferent, I consider this not worth an ounce of salt. At any rate, the curtain seems to be coming down on that 2-week rally.

nikoschopen,
At a quick glance for oil and energy maybe have a look at
STP - SUNTECH POWER HOLDINGS CO LTD
VLO - VALERO ENERGY CORP NEW
OIH - Oil Service HOLDRS

Yepher,
Aside from STP, which has been trading for less than 3 months, VLO and OIH will likely face some turbulence ahead -- unless Iran snubs its nose at the international community (again!). Perhaps just another poorly disguised 2-cents of mine.

Now that AAPL crept back up to its neckline, is it time to go short (again)? BTW has any brave soul followed my advice from 2/4 post and shorted this sucker?
