...just an FYI that I am discovering...
If you go back and edit a post that has html codes...it screws up all the html stuff that was previously there.
This then requires you to go back and "redeux" all that stuff (if you want it to post properly).
BUMMER !

"...first make an "empty" modification of ure initial post by deleting everything that was originally written..."

For example, I wiped out the above post by pressing once on the space bar. The original message, if you don't remember, was:
Actually I believe there's a way to bypass that problem. First make an "empty" modification of ure initial post by deleting everything that was originally written including the so-called kewl things. Then go back in again and make the correction. In essence, ure starting from scratch.
Now go back and edit the "empty" post however you like.

niko,
My point was though...just say as an example...you post a message (like this one) where within that message you use "html code" to link a URL...
...like this... StockFetcher
---------------------------------
Now...if I decide to go back and correct (as an example) a misspelled "werd" in this post...
...the instant I hit the "edit" button on this post...all the html stuff is "screwed" !!!
Are you saying that there is a way around THAT lil "inconvenience" ?
Regards,
alf44
PS. Further, even if you "preview" a message BEFORE hitting "post message"...and then go back by hitting "edit further"...ALL the html stuff is screwed ! fwiw

I too have ran into this problem in the past but was too damn lazy to look into it (I mean what's the point). But what the hell, let's go through it once and for all. As a demonstration, I will create two posts with the second one being the modification (or "edit") of this one. As you can see, I'm using as much HTML tags as possible.HTML editor
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaAn HTML editor is a software application for creating web pages. Although the HTML markup of a web page can be written with any text editor, specialized HTML editors can offer convenience and added functionality. For example, many HTML editors work not only with HTML, but also with related technologies such as CSS, XML and JavaScript or ECMAScript. In some cases they also manage communication with remote web servers via FTP and WebDAV, and version management systems such as CVS or Subversion. The first full featured text HTML editor available for download on the Internet was the CoffeeCup HTML Editor begun in 1994 by Nicholas Longo and Kevin Jurica of CoffeeCup Software.
