For some, it's just another day of comic relief.

There are 2 things I've seen on TV recently that bothered me .. AND reminded me of 1999.
When the Dow hit 14,000 and Dana Telsey was on CNBC telling investors "this is your wake-up call". I thought to myself, "yeah, right .. a wake-up call to get the H@!! out". And ...
Today .. Abbey Joseph Cohen was on CNBC twice.
I had a "DEJA-VU moment", and I felt afraid ... very afraid.

Well, don't let ure guard down just yet. Like I said, we might get a relief rally to form the right shoulder. People will mistakenly interpret that as a sign of recovery, while others would preposterously conclude it as "another buying opportunity" (where did I heard that one from? hehe). But that's exactly when you should sell into strength. If you don't believe me, go back and look at the charts between 2000 and 2002. This is a classic boiler-room antics staged by the market makers.
Who the hell is Abbey Jeseph Cohen anyway? How does she still manage to leave her first-rate blunders on traders' psyche? It must be her thick face.

OMG!!
Another Deja-Vu moment ....
Just saw an Investools commercial on TV ... similar to the "average joe schmuck" trader commercials of 1999 ....
Another bad sign, the market has topped ..
Perhaps????
I dunno.
I WAS hoping for Dow 15K @ Xmas.

Karenma, you mentioned Abby Joseph Cohen and Tim Knight's TheSlopeofHope blog.
Tim (the perma bear) posted the following photo on July 26. Enjoy.

Yeah, I remember once hearing somebody cracking a joke about Abbey Jo and other postmodern sleazebags from stock wasteland. The government issued a set of stamps in their honor but the postmaster general quickly ordered a recall because people couldn't figure out which side to spit on.

What's funnier is that Yahoo! Finance finally got a new face-lift. Geezus, it's about time!
BTW, WTF is wrong with StockFetcher? Is it being hacked? It keeps dropping on me.

Same problem with me concerning Stockfetcher, can't log on and stay on. Abbey Joesph My A$$. I heard awhile back Prudential Securities completely closed it's analysts dept. To many complaints. I wonder if Bear Sterns hired these over paid idiots!!!!!! In all my years of trading, I have never once bought on an analysts recommendation. Better off doing your own due diligence. Great posts very funny!!

A correction is coming. Look at a 5 year TMW weekly chart with a 40 week MA. The RS is approaching 80 as it was in 2004 before a correction and its the summer.

A correction?
Well, yeah ... e-v-e-n-t-u-a-l-l-y ....
That's what a bunch of people said back in February and March.
Matter of fact, some people here took the "summer off" back in March due to a "correction" .. that was not forthcoming.
Karennma, Can we now say that we are truly in a correction??
