1/23/2020 10:10:05 PM Thanks for sharing! I still remember the 2 questions I asked my "advisor" before I decided to do it myself... 1. How are you compensated? (AUM, regardless of performance) 2. Why are you telling me to sell my AAPL, GOOG, and MSFT stocks and buy Banks, Utilities and Deferred Load Funds? (apparently Diversification). Yes, it could have been ugly. Best of luck with your journey. I can honestly say that I have learned a lot in my 2 years here at SF than any other place or site AND I am able to apply what I have learned. RE: Options Different beast altogether. I don't understand the geeks behind it. I am currently setting my stops at 50% and letting the winners ride as far as i can. My biggest challenge right now with options is I cannot watch them in RT. So, sometimes, I may miss the highs of the day. May all your fills be profitable! |

1/27/2020 8:35:36 AM SOXS  UVXY  SPY Feb 325P  FXI too late to the party by staying too conservative?  Tempted to short AMD today. edit: and dare i say AAPL?  Outside of NFLX, the other FANG stocks have yet to report this week I think. Will the musical chair take a breather and use the Coronavirus as an excuse to unload to capture ST profits? OR nothing may happen and we continue to march upwards.... |

1/27/2020 1:53:10 PM FXI, QQQ puts and UVXY calls are up 75%...to close or to add. SPXS, SOXS...not as crazy. Closed HSY for what I would consider a wash Closed NVAX for 25% loss. Should have taken my 40% when it was there. With AAPL announcing tomorrow...take profits now?? Hmmm...guess this is where the "art" of trading comes from. Thinking... - close positions and wait out the earnings results from AAPL, GOOG, AMZN, and FB(within the next 7 days) and/or let the market dictate where it wants to go.....OR - stay put and then add more at the risk of not booking the 1 day gains today... |

1/27/2020 11:13:19 PM Closed 3/4ths of my FXI puts for over 150% Closed 3/4ths of my QQQ puts for over 100% Closed 3/4ths of my VXX calls for over 100% Closed 3/4ths of my SPY puts for over 80% Keeping SPXL and SOXS; setting mental stops for $12 or lower and $17 or lower....or to add more? Always a conundrum! Won't be surprised for a rebound tomorrow. AAPL and et al will probably change the mood....?? Will we see SPY trying to go back up in the 330ish and then hit a wall before correcting?  I am looking to play AAPL puts but will wait till after earnings.  Crazy play? testing a 4D put play on LK Jan 29P expiring on the 31st for $0.35  Macro Environment: - CoronaVirus "fear" triggered the sell off... - Killing of an Iranian General didn't trigger much - Impeachment drama still ongoing |

2/1/2020 10:40:19 AM The blind squirrel found a few nuts! LK did crash and got out with profits but will chalk it up as a loss as I don't think it was a smart play. The Coronavirus fear hit most China stocks...  AAPL did tank. Didn't post; don't count. The Feb 322P printed money...  Buttt hurt on ROKU still...  Urggh FB tanked....gut said no...tea leaves said bad idea but had to play token earnings play!  SPY and QQQ more room to fall?   Short SPY Feb 325P Short QQQ Feb 220P Thank you uncle Elon! Buy and Hold you a long time! Took profits on GLD.
