Probably applies most to the position traders -
Just wondering do you hold through earnings or always sell before or it depends?
thanks

Kind of depends on number of shares held, profit on paper before earnings, long vs. short term holding (tax purposes), investment length play vs. swing or position trade.
If you have scaled into the trade and are heavy in profits...your options allow a little more flexibility than if you are holding a block with a minimal profit or loss.

Thanks for the replies.
I dont hold positions long and normally sell before earnings cos of bad experiences but forgot to sell KO the other day and had a nice pop from earnings.
It is always tempting to buy AAPL,GOOG, RIMM into earnings.. dont know if i'd have the steel to buy BIDU beforehand..
