If you just start reading posts and threads it will start to come together for you, that's kind of where I'm at. When you have specific questions this community is really very helpful and it seems they are happy to share. I'm still settling on a stratagy that suits my needs so I can't offer any advice except to keep reading and remain open to all. Good Luck!

Investopedia has a FREE trade simulator which is good to use even if you have a brokerage account. (It gives you a pressure relief outlet if you feel like you got to trade every setup you see. ) So try all your theories there.

My advice is to watch a group of stocks that are performing well,or even better, just one stock every day.If you observe something daily, you'll begin to get the feel of it's movements.Watch for consistent patterns, and when you see a pattern setting up,make your move.If it does'nt move in your direction, scratch the trade right away and move on.You're now getting an education, paying your dues, until you find set ups which work consistently. The market is a game of chance. No one knows whats going to happen next. But if you want to stay in this game long enough, you got to try to put the odds on your side.Good luck......

take a look at wealth lab for some strategies with positive expectancies. Try them on a simulator for a while. There are many good filters in the filter archive of SF as well. Learn risk to reward.
