Im new to backtesting. I would like to backtest a group of stocks isolating certain dates. I would like to be able to enter roughly 100 or so stocks, all with different date ranges. One stock from November 14-20, another from November 16-22, another from october 23-27, another from jan 8-14 etc... After isolating the stock symbols and dates, from there I want to backtest different technical trading strategies on the group. Is this possible on stock fetcher, and if so how. If not is there any other software you could recommend.

You would have to run each one separately. Sorry.

Are you looking at a specific pattern? If so, try to write a filter for that pattern and backtest it rather than what you are trying to do.

NinjaTrader would allow for this, but I caution it is not for the faint-hearted.
