i have tried many many scans for swing trading and none if them seem to work that well. what are the best swing trading strategies that you guys use? thanks

Are you sure it's the scanner and not the way you trade??? you should give us an example of a stock you trade from your scan.

ok i used muddy's filter
set{x,count(volume above volume 1 day ago,1)*2}
set{y,count(volume above average volume(90),3)}
set{z,x+y}
and z is above 1.1
and close has been decreasing over the last 3 days
and low is below lower bollinger band(20)
and count(close above open,3) is below 2.1
and rsi(2) is below 1
and close is between 1 and 10
and average volume(90) is above 100000
i buy when the stock goes green and hold
i usually sell the stock if it falls below 2%
this strategy has not been working too well
but this scan is not very consistent
any ideas to make me a better swing trader?

Someone posted this filter recently on SF, I think this is a very good Swing Filter. Buy stocks bouncing off the BB29 or moving through from below BB29 and setting you stop when a stock open and close below BB29, very simple yet effective. Paper trade first before taking it live....important *** trade with the trend.
