One added note. Why wasn't this new enhancement noted in the ANNOUNCEMENT section of the forum? Didn't SF want to inform us all about what this new tool was all about? Or, is surprise factor IN now?
Warning us about system changes sure helps us prepare for the obviously the inevitable. Since, we didn't get a chance to test this new gizmo before they went live fire and a done deal.
How about giving us veterans of this web site a discount for having to tolerate some of the suddent changes that cause our hair to fall out. Just a thought to ponder.

Enhancements are great! For those that want them they really are the cats meow.
There are those of us that really believe in the K.I.S.S. admonition. I still use SF1.0 and don't intend to be pulled kicking and screaming into the more modern methods if I can help it. All I need is a simple filter, an ability to draw trend lines, semi log chart display, a few moving averages and I'm good to go.
Tom I sent you a couple of e-mails about my filters not working. Could this be connected to the latest additions?

heypa: We have tested your filter and not witnessed the problem you are reporting. If possible, can you provide the internet browser (make and version) as well as operating system that you are using?
Thank you!

One change that I find not for the better is that a column added in the global filter is not included if you run the filter by clicking it in My Filters (it still shows up if you edit/view screen). Not only do I lose the column, my sorts are (possibly) thrown off (although, again , not in edit/view screen). I'm guessing (hoping) that this is a bug, not a feature.

Re date offset: What about if I want a date offset that isn't a multiple of 5? Why was it assumed that flexibility wasn't needed anymore?

With respect to the Global Filter settings, that is definitely a bug and we are looking into fixing that.
Concerning the date offset and "multiples of 5", there are a couple ways to get around that:
1) Select "1 day ago" -- this will move you back (from the filter results date by 1 day.) Clicking this again will move you another day in the past (etc.) Again, keep in mind that the menu selection from the filter results is relative the filter results date you are currently viewing (you can verify this by watching the date change.)
2) Adding the "date offset" phrase directly to your filter.
