Hi Mika,
I'm really trying to get a third party opinion of their operation, are you with them now?
thanks

I'm in the same boat as you. I wonder if this operation is even legit. Looks almost too good to be true..

Freetrade is great - it is basically streamlined trading with no bells and whistles. It feeds Quotetracker or you can use its "Command Center" just like Ameritrade.

Hi watt,
thanks for replying, do they require $5k over and above the value of your stocks to be in your account at all times and what about charts etc.
appreciate your time
cheers

Yes, they require $5000 to open an account. I don't know what happens if your account drops below $5000. Its purpose is to provide inexpensive trading - first 20 trades free then $3... then $2... They do this by stripping their services down to the bone - just what you need to trade. Plan on getting your charts elsewhere... you will probably want to add real time streamer ($10/month) so you can use the command center to trade (or Quotetracker).

LOL... you guys crack me up!
I have a freetrade account and know others who do. It works great especially for the short term swing traders and the high volume scalpers.
You just can't pick up the phone and scream at someone when your order doesn't fill.
But the no/low commissions really help those just starting out.
MAY YOUR FILLS BE COMPLETE.
