>>he gov. is devaluating those dollars to the point that they don't want them any more?
=======================
I'm thinking they aren't just changing the rules of the game - they're changing the game.
I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see chaos in the EU and Asia within 24 months and a true "Black Swan" event that creates a need for a revamping of the monetary system - with a global one of course.
Much like the Soviets walked away from their socialist commitments in the 90's, we may see something with our Social(ist) Security and pensions as well.

I believe that IS the plan.
Europe has the "Euro".
We (U.S., Mexico, Canada) will have the "Amero".

Just checking out the Asian market. Nikkei is down 320.34 (2.12%) and Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea are all down more than 3 percent.
Now who said the U.S. markets follow their Asian counterpart?

If you have lived here you would think we already are. Texaco was founded just up the road from me, my favorite food is Tex-mex and the governor's race had a debate in spanish. I have been to Mexico and the only real difference is that we have more Mexicans.

FXP bottomed today.
I think next year will be year of the dead dog for China markets.
JMHO, which isn't worth one yuan.
