Let's call this an informal survey...
What is the best time zone to live in for trading and why?
Hour many minutes/hours prior market open (9:30am EST) do you wake up and prepare for the day?

California. Wake at 5am for the 6:30 open, 1pm close and afternoon off.
I'm a morning person so where I live in California works out ok for me.
Hawaii would be cool at a 4:30am open, 11am close :)

I would say it is the EST zone. I am in PST and have to wake up every day at five – even though I have never been an early bird – to get ready for the market open. However, I also traded from the Middle East and I loved it. If you have a villa in Italy, it will work best :-)

Also been to China twice this year and traded from there.
9:30pm open, 4:00am close.
Put in a semi-automated MOC order and stop for day-trades, go to sleep.
Wake up and find out if you made any money or not....quite exciting :)
