If one was to trade a spread. Lets say a small cap. One would place a giant buy at 1.15 and when one accumulated a nice bunch places a sell at 1.18.
One would keep these orders and start moving up a cent at a time. As long as one holds a large enough order one would be forcing stock price to move with one... right?

The thinner the sellers get, the faster price increases ... and when sellers come in after a nice gain one would dump on attracted buyers to get out.

Where's the risk?
