I'm doing some testing, which I will share with others here, but in order to complete a segment of that study, I need to know the name of a broad-based small-cap ETF that dates back to at least 1/1/97. IWM, a proxy for the Russell 2000, only goes back to the year 2000. I'm using MDY for the mid-cap ETF (which goes back to 1997) in my test.

Any ideas here?

Thanks.

TNA doesn't go back to 1997. It started in Nov 2008. Plus, it's a 3xlong.

I agree that may be a VERY viable fund for the future, but I can't backtest it.

I want to "apples-to-apples" compare Midcap to Smallcap to Largecap (for testing purposes).
