oh yeah ....
anyway ... it's better here ... 'cause the title says it all.
Anyway, I had a sneaky suspicion SHLD would run up before earnings.
"The higher they climb, the harder they fall" ...
I'd appreciate everyone's thoughts on SHLD as we approach their earnings.
I've traded this stock before, and you can make a "small fortune" in ONE day, IF you trade it correctly.

KEVIN:
DON'T THESE COMPANIES FILE THEIR EARNINGS WITH THE SEC?
I WONDER IF THEY DO IT BEFORE THE conference call?

I think that if such information were available before the conference call, insiders would have already gotten it and played it for max profit.
If such were the case ... I would look at key stocks and see if their price dropped prior to a good earnings report (this assume that the MMs want to get in cheap) and then rises afterwards (this assumes that schmucks like us are buying what the MM's are now selling), or vice versa.
Just the conspiracy theorist in me speaking up.
Honestly, if such info WERE available ahead of the call, why even bother with a conference call anyway?

Thanks for helping, Kevin ...
"An earnings report is provided by a public company four times per year and summarizes performance, strategy and corporate changes that have taken place over the last 3 months. This report is filed with the SEC within 35 days of the end of the quarter"
35 days

LQQK at a 5-day chart of MACYS (M).
Two days prior to earnings, "M" ran up to $19.78 on 11-10-09.
Then yesterday after the earnings call, gapped down to $17.75.

SHLD is weak.
Gapped up $2, but closed just up 0.03 cents??
