If yes, then post it here so everyone can have a go at it.

...sorry i wasn't too clear. i did a search and it looks like this was brought up b/4 under a different article in stocks and Commodities mag. it was under the sf discussion: VPCI indicator. (StockFetcher Forums · General Discussion · VPCI indicator. here is the link to the article they referenced:
http://www.traders.com/Reprints/PDF_reprints/WS_BETWEEN.PDF
there were some attempts at creating a filter there. at the very end ot the article therer is a section for tips in programming code implementing buff dormeir's technique.
sorry for any confusion

Just looks like another squiggly line indicator to me.
HORIZONTAL LINES beat squigglys.
If all you traded were the cross of the current day's open, previous day's close, previous day's open, previous day's high and previous day's low based on the direction of the price, you'll have plenty of profitable trades.
You don't need squigglys to make money.
See, nothing is certain in the market. The price moves. Horizontal lines stay put. Squigglys move.
Better to have one thing moving than two. IT IS THAT SIMPLE!
Just look at the charts and see the crossovers.
