Example: the difference or ratio of a stock to another stock (a la pair trading)? The current RSI input only accepts a stock's closing value. Can this be modified (by you guys, since this seems to be outside of what we can do) to accept user-defined variables? Stockcharts.com seems to be able to produce a lot of indicators for ratios, as long as they do not require volume data. Hopefully this can be done.

While we don't have a global "custom input" option for all measures, it is possible to modify specific measures to create custom versions. Beyond RSI, are there any other measures you would like to see custom inputs for?
Thank you,

Personally, I would like to see a set of basic indicators that use only OHLC data (RSI, Bollingers, PSAR, and MACD). These are commonly used indicators that should be able to accept ratios. As long as no volume data is needed in the calculation, this should be straightforward.
Frankly, any indicator that uses EOD close data should work with custom inputs.

We do not have plans to add custom input support to all (non-volume) measures.
We will look into the specific indicators that you mention. Please keep in mind that many custom measures such as MACD and Bollinger Bands are possible currently using the available syntax.
Thank you!

Yes, they can be coded as I have already shown in several filters. However, the RSI, PSAR and doubtless a few others cannot be similarly coded without some serious experience in SF syntax, which makes them unavailable for general use.
I remain hopeful that you will take time to upgrade the SF syntax, which is essentially unchanged over the past 6-7 years. Until that happens, I hope you can make small additions based on user feedback.

We will look into the RSI and PSAR. Please let us know any other specific measures that would benefit from custom inputs.
Thank you,

Dear SF team,
Can SF do this?
"Add column fib retracement @ 50%".
I want to know what the price of the stock will be @ the 50% retrace level.
Thanks.
