TWM...covered at $104.50 and going long again

JP,

i can understand you went short on TWM on close below BB but why did you go long @ 104.50.
I am looking at the 1 min chart and trying to understand your logic.

thanks

billrider321: the wide range bar that closed below BB(40,0.4) on a 5 min chart scared me an i was had already up $5/sh...gotta take profits. I went back in at about 105, then sold about 107. I was in and out all day. I have been trading this stock for a long time and have a good grasp of it's behavior....hope this helps...cheers.

looking after the fact this trades looks great. but i know JP sometime does post real time trades with good explanation.

JP - do you trade mostly mean reversion kind of trade. I see BB(50) and BB 13 combination at work for you.
do you set stops as soon as you enter trade. trading on TWM with 50 share and setting stop of 1.50 $ will it work.
i have seen your earlier comment about price action study but doesnt it conflict mean reversion theory.

Bill:

Here is a typical bull day for me(last wednesday), support being the lower BB(40,0.4), I will sell when it opens and closes below Big-B. . Notice the BBands are above ema(100). I don't know if you would call this mean reversion or simply support/resistance, I am only using a 0.4 SD which is not far from the mean.

An example of a down day... BBands below ema(100). Once it gets rejected by the lower Big-B, I go short. When it gets into the Booya buy zone, I go long, then short as it crosses below ema(100). You will notice stocks penetrating ema(100) from above with a wide range bar tends to be great shorts.

Would you mind sharing all of your indicators settings and the triggers?

I am curious.

Thanks.

JP,

i do see you use different setups at different time.
In your earlier post i have seen you use accelaration band 50 for mean reversal and BB(13,.2) for trend following.
is there a reason you are switching to BB(40,.2) . Also are u using ema(100) for deciding a bullish or bearish bias.

thanks
