BOSTON TEA PARTY WAS ABOUT TAX without REPRESENTATION. WE HAVE REPRESENTATION, SO TAXES ARE GOOD.

==============================================

No we do NOT!

If you are a resident of one state and own property in other states that collects PROPERTY TAXES, you DO NOT HAVE REPRESENTATION.

Do you really believe ANYONE in Washington, DC is representing YOU?

I challenge you to go to a public meeting of the county that you live in. It can be a school board meeting, county council meeting or any meeting of a tax district. Ask a question, IF YOU ARE ALLOWED TO SPEAK, and see how you are received by your ELECTED OFFICIALS.

Then post your experience here. I am sure your eyes will be opened.

SORRY TRO, I GUESS YOU AND YOUR GOVERNMENT IDESA/OPINIONS ARE PART OF THE MINORITY. THAT'S ALL IT IS. I AM SURE IF YOU HAD ANYTHING VALID TO SAY, OUR FINE GOVERNMENT WOULD ACT ON IT. IF THEY DON'T AND YOU HAPPEN TO BE IN THE MAJORITY, THE POPULACE WOULD VOTE THOSE FOLKS OUT, AS IS WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH THE REPUBLICANS LEAVING AND THE DEMOCRATS VOTED BACK IN BY THE MAJORITY. AMERICA AND IT'S SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT IS STILL THE BEST BET THERE IS, BY FAR, TAXES AND ALL.

HTH

So the question would be, then, how angry do you need to get to make a change? Boston Tea Party: The Sequel?

Like I've said in the past, as long as there's an ample supply of fast food and new tv seasons, people won't really get THAT mad...

and: "
And it's only going to get worse, as more and more investors wake up and realize that not only will taxes on their dividends will rise 20% on December 31, 2009 but also taxes on capital gains will rise as well, back to 20% from a historic low of 15%. "

Crap syntax notwithstanding, FFS...you're paying for these banks we're bailing out to continue paying their dividends so they don't lose their precious investors...so either way, we'll pay. Is that a surprise to people? Did we think this bailout was going to be just paper money? Did you not write to your congressman/senator and get their form letter in response as to why they felt they HAD to pass it?

FURY, THE REVOLUTION ALREADY HAPPENED. 52 PERCENT POPULAR VOTE AGAINST THE STANDING PARTY HAS ONLY HAPPENED 2 OR 3 TIMES IN OUR HISTORY. 60ISH PERCENT VOTER TURN OUT.

Are your referring to the congress with a 9% approval rating winning reelection and expanding? Those guys are shoveling tax money down the black hole so furiously that they don't even have time to raise taxes to bring real money in!When they get around to letting the Bush tax cut run out and adding another layer off tax on top of that,so they say, remember voters of this,It;s your fault.I see MCD is up on rev. today, perhaps the new demofinacial voters are discussing their new prospects over a gourmet meal.Obama is a glimmer of hope if he is savvy enough to avoid some of this.He sure loves popularity and if it is popular with Americans to change his change even in the face of congress, that might be a change market bulls might enjoy.

I took the tube back out of town
Back to the Rollin' Pin
I felt a little like a dying clown
With a streak of Rin Tin Tin

I stretched back and I hiccupped
And looked back on my busy day
Eleven hours in the Tin Pan
God, there's got to be another way
