Where are some good place to find out the news, especially about company's getting contracts, starting new projects etc. Basically how can regular person like myself find out good information before it hit the streets?

I don't know about "before it hit the streets", that would be insider information, but Finviz has reasonably current information about most stocks, and its free.

If you can get it, then I can get it, too. Who do you think the "street" is?

IT'S NOW WHAT YOU TRADE, IT'S HOW YOU TRADE IT!!

these people have a trial, the news can be filtered , how to filter, go to finwiz, go to high gainers for the day, click on that stock,
see what the news is, begin making a list of what key words move stocks, then use this software : VantagePoint ,
you here can use keywords to filter the news, get your news, go to five minute chart, wait for volume surge, buy or sell stock.

in other words , use finwiz, to begin to know what keywords move stocks, then use vantage point , use keywords, finally long or short according to intraday chart.

also seekingalpha.com articles seem to move stocks, youll see a lot of mentions of this site when you use finwiz to find out what words move stocks.

get your keywords first , then google stock news, sites like bloomberg, vantage point, fly on the wall etc, have keyword filters ,
most of these have FREE trials, get your keywords( what words are in news releases that move stocks) figured out first, then use the trial to see how it works, im hoping you daytrade, thats the only way i know to beat the news. lot of work but .... how about this keyword "fraud" use it to filter chinese stocks. PUDA, etc , you see fraud in a release , down it goes.

of the top forty gainers on finwiz today , i found three that were driven nicely by news , news coming in the morning and price up after, volume surge there, one was earnings, one was stock repurchased, another was bought. news out then volume surge, i didnt look at the low volume high gainers so the percentage was pretty good , maybe i looked at 15 stocks total. Work but beats a job or trying to cheat people.
