Okay, all of us in here have been trying a lot of different strategys and filters.
I have been in here for several years and from all the filters I have used I can only say that the best overall short term indicator is RSI(2). I must admit that I cant see any other better filters for the "very short term".
Please post what you think worked best for you.
Have a nice day

rsi(2) filter simple is that.
Its the best overall short term filter to find overbought and oversold conditions( short term ) imo..
but maybe any others in here using adx/williams/stochastics more often.

Define "short term" - intraday? One-two days? A week?
I look at momentum-based indicators, and trade on a weekly timeframe rather than daily. My favorite indicator is the weekly MACD(2,3,9) - the day after it crosses above zero, buy. The day after it crosses back below zero, sell.
Simple and effective. Generally do only a few trades per month. I am tracking 15 ETFs right now using this system - results since 8 June are 13 out of 15 profitable, with an average return of 11.1%.

short term is / 1-5 days.
So in that timeframe my avg gain for a lot stocks is 5-10% on every stocks. But I am also reading the chart with support areas, but this RSI(2) is so useful with trendlines

What am I missing, the buymenow and sellmenow plot does not line up with weekly macd(2,3,9) 0 crosses?
ex. July 9 and June 19 on the spy chart
