LVS as an example ... **IF** you know you're going to do a "strangle" (buy OTM calls & OTM puts) The IDEAL time to have bought the calls would've been YESTERDAY approaching the close when LVS was at it's LOWEST. Please note that at that time, the calls (LJJ-KR-Nov $18) were approx. 0.24. So! That being said ... it's best to set up your strategy at least TWO days PRIOR to Earnings so you can catch the dips and peaks prior to the call. :>) |
