No - I did the one I sent to you.
Sadly, even with my pathetic knowledge base on options, I knew almost all the topics and terms he spent the hour on. Not much new learning for me on that one.
Well, I'll probably request a good book on options for XMas.
Anyone have a suggestions for this?

Kevin,
I have played all kinds of options over the years and gone back to trading stocks and etfs mainly. Most options books and seminars I have found only explain strategies, but not how to make money.
The best book on strategies for years has been McMillan on Options - but again its only strategies - and some of the positions they talk about .... as far as I'm concerned .... you should never be in. You might try to get in ... but you get beat up by the bid/ask spead and commission costs.
I subscribed to McMillans trading service one year and lost my shirt. He picks his plays on unusual or suspicious volumes ... Well, I can tell you your BB system is 10x better at picking the underlying security ... then play a put or a call.
On spreads and other combinations, you get beat up on the bid/ask spreads on both sides .... getting in and getting out.
The simplest thing for you is to keep to you BB system or whatever other system you have and simply consider playing calls and puts depending on which way you are playing.
There are so many other considerations that are not explained well in most literature as far as I'm concerned.
On another note, I did buy a book on Options Trading this year called Options Trading at Expiration (Jeff Augen) which is somewhat interesting. He does not focus on strategies like those other source/books. The book focuses on trading options two days of the month. Expiration Friday and the Thursday before - that is where the biggest pricing anomolies occur.
Here is a bit of a review:

++++++++++++++++++
That was my thinking exactly.
Thanks for the suggestions - this is a paper trade learning exercise for the rest of the year at least. Hopefully can gain some better understanding of this trading style.

you are right karen,
there is some interesting statistical data in the book i mentioned .... for example, the author notes that the decay of implied volatility is minimal between say 10:30 (after the first hour of trading) and 2 PM .... that its, its high at the open, drops, is somewhat static, then falls dramatically at 2 PM .....
therefore, one of the strategies is to enter straddles on volatile stocks that have high volume options when the security crosses a strike, on the strike, as long as you can find one around 10-11 am .... hold the straddle until 2 pm and hope like hell the stock moves one way or another ... because the implied volatility is somewhat static there is very minimal time decay eating away at the option price .... therefore, even if the stock doesn't move at all there is only a minimal loss in the straddle ... if the stock moves alot, you can make big money .... i have traded the strategy with limited success but there is real potential to hit a home run with minimal risk ....
