I am having problems getting downloaded symbols into a watchlist.
I download the symbols to excel and have them all going down the first column. I then save it to my desktop. I then click on import in the watchlist section of SF and I am prompted to browse. I select the saved excel spreadsheet with the symbols and try and upload and I am told that there are 0 stocks in my watchlist. What am I doing wrong?

copy your symbols to notepad, then upload into SF. I tried using csv. format and had the problems.

Suggestion: Make certain you are saving your Excel spreadsheet in the "CSV" format. That is the only way I know to import Excel spreadsheets directly
