At least you can TALK.

Geesh! I just went to my Facebook page.
I don't even know 1/2 the people on there!
Why would someone want to be my "friend" if they don't know me?

The collaborate channel on Finviz would allow it to be limited to SF members that got the code off of this site and not just casual viewers. You can post links, and charts ect. there. Unlike a chat you can post or read the posts at any time. And they do have PM email capability. And its free. Just a thought.

Chet,
I understand that and this would be public to all interested SF members but may help limit the flamers and trolls that I find on other forums. They can make a site a complete waste of time.

i just looked at the chat feature on facebook, and without having the group members as friends it not possible to chat. Great Stuff.... so we need to be friends. I dont think that this is a good idea...
But....
The Wall feature is great and can be used for easy uploads of videos, chart patterns and chat can be done there too! Type in wathever you like. You dont have to be friends for all that.
And thats the advantage of Facebook to sf. Its easy for everyone to share things like a quick intraday chart upload!
Do that on Stockfetcher without using the help button.

Maybe we just need to convince SF to upgrade their forum software. I haven't been on one that wasnt a slick phpBB, vBulletin, etc since the 90's. Could easily throw in a shoutbox and lots of other cool things then.
