looking to create a filter of stocks that ALREADY broke out from a typical pattern (head and shoulder, ascending triangle) on some percentage increase on volume within 2-10 days ago...
(To clarify and explain what I am looking for, it is basically to create a short list of stocks that have recently lets say 2-10 days ago broken out of well know patterns), but ONLY when breakout day was lets say 50% increase in average volume... I understand I will have to tweak the parameters to dial it in. I just need the basic template..)
thanks in advance

mdl060374,
To get you started you might have a look at
or
Other thing you will probably find useful:
- Pivot Points (PP, R1, S1, R2, S2)
- Candlestick patterns
You can have a look here to look up how to use these command:

I am sure if you give a filter a try and post what you have you will get a lot of help.

Yepher,
I checked the manual for clarification, but didnt see anything on inputing 3 parameters like you did for resisistance. you said (45,15,2). What is the middle parameter?
I understand the days back, and days for breaking out/breaking down from said pattern, but what is the middle or 3rd parameter for?
Thanks again for your help.
