In a filter with 'show stocks where market is ETF' is there a way to filter out those that are short or leveraged?

I think the only practical way to do this would be to create a watchlist of etfs that you are interested in, then write your filter and include an "apply to watchlist(X)" statement in it.

Anyone know of a list of ETFs that shows which ones are short or leveraged so I can create my own watchlist?

Why filter out those that are short or leveraged? They are useful trading vehicles. Lots of people here only trade these, when the signals indicate a high likelihood of a move in one direction or the other.
I would suggest learning which ones they are (google leveraged ETFs for a complete list), but do not eliminate them from your scans. If you do not want to invest in them, fine, but no reason to ignore their performance against other investments you might make.

I consider them only suitable for day trading because of the way they distort prices. I'm not day trading.

Well, I have a BASIC list of ETFs by "show etf" and have limited to average volume(90) > 500000 ..... that gives me an approximate universe of 140 ETFs on my daily scans .... I also have the RSI(2) shown, 5dma and %B
show etf
and average volume(90) above 500000
set{%B,Bollinger %B}
and add column RSI(2)
and add column MA(5)
and add column %B
and add column MA(200)
and sort column 5 ascending
So if you were going to come up with a list manually, you can sort the RSI(2) and lots of the inverse ETFs are currently at the bottom (i.e., low RSI 2 readings now) and can be manually removed or copied to another watchlist ..... should be easy to click the box and remove the rest of the double, ultra or direxion etfs after that .....

Thanks.
If ETFs are so highly correlated it makes me wonder if there is any point in following more than just a few of them.

They probably appear highly correlated right now because the market is particularly overbought and many ETFs therefore have a high RSI whereas the inverse ETFs will have a low RSI.
You wont see much as much of a correlation once they are segregated by country, market, sector, industry or commodity.
You might want to stick to the higher volume ETFs and then limit your watchlist to a specific number of each sector.

IMHO I think youre dead on there.... Toss several hundred ETF's, and , thousands of stocks for that matter, out the window and follow TNA and BGU and their opposites.
Maybe add The long and short sector etf's for :
Oil
Financials
Commercial real estate
Nat gas
Currencies
Ags
Gold/Silver
Steel/ Metal Mining
Volatility
Biotech? anyone.....?
This search should take an hour with help of others here and then stop.
Spend the rest of your life trading.
Many , many years ago, with super high commissions and all....... Old traders used to say
"If I could only buy the averages". Or so I read in a book or two...... or, I'm making it up !
