Citadel had to sell a large percentage of their ETFC position to keep it below 9.9% (their target). They had announced they would do this a few months ago, then backed off. Led to lots of discussion about a possible takeover. Then they ended up selling it and the price tanked.
Bankruptcy? I doubt it. After their earnings announcement, they are look to be in OK financial shape and that BK is unlikely.
