1/29/2010 12:53:49 AM Mystiq Would you post your selection criteria and or filter for your option plays? thanks ...i basically use any filter that can give you good set-ups for swings up or down. Then i look for options that are sensitive to the coming move(using selection process of high delta/high gamma/low theta), and most importantly under-valued(cboe website option pricer), under .20 with decent open interest/volume. Last but not least, the "planned" strike price should be within reach of the stock target. |

2/4/2010 11:41:16 PM EXTREME play here. HIGHLY advise to use only play money, but the reward could be huge! WFR was down 14.89% today. This would be a buy on the Feb 12c .37. The stock only has to go up 6% for your option to double. It's ADR(10) is 5.84. Chart shows this is the 3rd time it has hit support since last November. Here are my 2 scenarios: 1) Buy it tomorrow morning if there's a snap back from today's carnage playing the momentum through Monday. 2) Buy at end of day if carnage continues again playing through Monday's momentum. The SP500 has been up 17 of the last 19 Mondays with and average gain of .83 over those 19 Mondays. I would almost say even hold it into Tuesday. CAVEAT: Poor 2010 outlook was reason for WFR's pounding today so the selling could continue. So there is my Big Bang Theory for the week. Beware that it's only a theory and you could lose most if not all of your money so only use play money. Good Luck! P.S. You can always blame it on George Bush if you do lose all of your money! ***UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE*** The ask today finished at .80 making it +116% for the day! I think it might still have another mini run on Monday IF the market goes up like it has been 17 of the past 19 Mondays. I would certainly sell it into strength. |
