Didn't somebody earlier predicted that CFC would go kaput? Sure, I thought so.
More sooner than later, one of them institutional banks will follow CFC to its demise. Could it be Citi or Bear Stearns?

Nikko...how about CIBC??? I think Power financial (PWF) should buy them out. National Bank in Quebec is having similar problems.

This is a good read on some of our past crisis.
Overzealous risk has seemingly always been hedged by the "Fed/Treasury/Greenspan/Bernake put" where we pay the premium.

What's more notable is that whenever we're in a bull market, we're led to believe that "oh, it's different this time around." But when we're in a bear market, the whole mantra lands on "it's all the same crap."
BTW tell Bernanke to take his med for once!

@ nikoschopen...unfortunately, it appears Mr. Bernanke will not be taking any "medicine", as he is apparently under strict orders to continuing pushing "the agenda"...
