txtrapper,
That's what I thought.
It seems very similar to a scan on the "Bollinger Squeeze" thread that was started by 'yepher' on 4/11/2004.
So then, mika, who is a member of your yahoo club comes over here and finds a scan, then posts it at your "by invitation only" yahoo club, but HE doesn't post it here for some reason even though he does contribute here occasionally.
Whereas you decide to bring it back here to help us out. COOL.
Yeah, yeah, I know. It's different. Price range, volume, blah, blah.

dangreene;
Mika takes no credit for the filter, but we certainly do appreciate him sharing his findings.

NP. It's a little variation from the one posted on the SF forum. Nothing original on my part.
I still need to tweak/play with it myself.
set{top,upper bollinger(20)}
set{bottom, lower bollinger(20)}
set{squeeze, top - bottom / ma(20)}
AND squeeze is below .14
AND low is between 0.7 and 14.7
AND average volume(50) is above 110,000
AND exchange is Nasdaq

Subject: Stock Picks for Tuesday...May 4, 2004
ONCY..$5.70
Even insiders want to take advantage of this price. Shorts will cover
and this will bounce. I think today is a sign some news is coming
soon. It took a planned effort to move the price this low today. Be
prepared to buy first thing in the morning, there may be a short term
drop to squeeze the last of weak hands and then up we start back up.
Weekly chart looks bullish.

TTP..$3.65
I personally think we will see a nice rebound tomorrow with this
stock. Stranger still is the insitutional interest today in blocks
of 100K ?

VION..$4.59
We will see it base and then head higher from here. Real company with
real drugs.

Fibonacci Retracements;
Stocks often retrace 38%, 50%, or 62% of a previous move before
resuming the previous trend.
For stocks rallying, support often occurs at the 38%, 50%, or 62%
retracement level before resuming the previous rally.
ITRA..on 0.50 retracement
API...on 0.50 retracement
IPVO..on 0.50 retracement
MAX...just bounced off 0.50 retracement
QUOT..just bounced off 0.50 retracement
SF Filter;
**You can add just behind 0.50 (and draw WMA(30)), seems the *WMA(30)"Weighted Moving Average" indicator (*from Stan Weinstein's Theory) is amazingly close to the 0.50 retracement level in most instances.
Pick a stock you want to analyze. Then review a StockFetcher chart looking for
retracements. You'll surprise yourself with the numerous
retracements you find. You can use 0.50 when using SF or change to
0.382 or 0.618 retracement levels to check different support levels.

How to use HeatMap
From: "bottomlinestocks" <bottomlinestocks@yahoo.com>
Date: Fri May 7, 2004 7:56 am
http://screening.nasdaq.com/heatmaps/heatmap_pmi.asp
The NASDAQ-100 Pre-Market Heatmap allows you to spot significant
price changes before the market opens. Each colored rectangle
represents an individual company that is part of the NASDAQ-100. The
cell color changes as prices change, so you can easily see market
trends and opportunities as they occur in the Pre-Market.
How do I use the Heatmap?
Heatmaps are great for spotting what is moving in the market. Since
Heatmaps update once a minute, significant color changes show what
stocks are on the move.
Heatmaps allow you to see trends that are developing. For example, if
cells begin the day all red but become green as the day progresses,
then the market may be trending up.
See the NASDAQ-100 stocks at a glance and follow your positions as
the price updates.
Features of the Heatmap:
Move the mouse over a company rectangle and a little panel will pop
up with more information, including an intraday price chart.
Left click on a company rectangle to bring up an InfoQuote page.
Right click on a company rectangle to get news, Company Financials,
Analyst Info, Holdings/Insiders and other information on the company.
