I am trying to come up with categories of binary events with the idea of trading options into them. The ones that jump out at me are court cases (eg patent infringement) and drug trials. I exclude earnings because there are many possible outcomes. Any other ideas (I would gladly accept ideas with 3 possible outcomes as well)?

No, I haven't been, I have considerable access to news at work, but now that you've made me aware of GOOGLE Alerts, I might well experiment to see how timely the notification is. Thx.
