A miniscule commentary: the damn beast is in a predictable channel. It has since hit the bottom channel, so it wouldn't surprise me if it were to advance up to, well, the upper channel. But should it stall prematurely then you can count me in with other bears to raid this baby one more time.

Since the ES is on the road to nowhere, I'm closing shop early. P&L for this afternoon: +2.75 (1 point per contract = $50 less commission)

Nikoschopen,

I enjoy your emini trading chronicles. I do not trade the ES but rather the ER2. I believe the range is better.

Looking forward to your next posts,

Leaddog

Howdy leaddog,

I've yet to Trade the futures on the Russell, but I'm hell gearing up to fight the beast one of these days. Do you mind sharing some of ure personal thoughts on why you choose the ER rather than its other larger siblings like the YM, ES, or the NQ? I for one like the ES because I believe it's the most orderly of the major three. I also trade the YM on monster days that bring out the raw emotion of fear and greed in us, and I'm happy with the results thus far. With NQ, however, it's another story. Like a lunatic on steroid entering a freakfest, I act like a maniac and get screwed from all directions. At any rate, I'll be happy to hear what you have to say about my trading.

Niko

Thanks Niko for your trading commentary. I am now back from vacation and will begin again trading the ES on a daily basis. Could you please post your commentary also on your morning trades? I would like to get your perspective on what you see going on as it happens.

Thanks again, Joe

Joe,

Welcome aboard. It's good to find another comrade-in-arms. I will chronicle my morning trades if time permits. Thx.

I don't follow the damn tune of the earnings season, so I can care less about Alcoa and their red ink. What can you expect from a guy who doesn't even read the financial news, other than a couple headlines from Yahoo! Finance?! However, thanks to the gloomy outlook, the preponderance of evidence against the bulls is slowly building to its crescendo. But, as they say, load the shots but don't pull the trigger just yet. So there you have my next 15-min outlook.
