...someone posted this b/4:

USING THE ARROWS OR NOT
To answer a very common question:

For all you arrows users (Investools or Success): I buy with three greens and it's amazing how many times I regret it when i jump the gun and buy with two. So three green.

And I get out when the stock stops going up and I get two reds down below.

For all you non-arrow users who are trying to do the same thing using MSN charts: Set the MACD to 8-17-9 and the Stochastic to 14-5-0 and the Moving Average to the 10 day. You'll get triggered a little earlier than on Investools, but that's okay. The trigger point - the time to buy or sell - is when the lines cross. It ain't as easy and it ain't as purty but she works just fine once you get the hang of it.

Show stocks where Slow Stochastic(14,5,0) Fast %K crossed over MA(10)and the MACD(8,17,9)
and Average Volume(90) is above 150000
and close is between 35 and 250

Has anyone ever scripted this and tried it out?
Seems like it would fire some really decent stocks
to review.

Investools highly recommends the need of good fundamentals in a stock before using this method. This filter will not

work as well without first creating a watchlist with solid stocks to trade. I dislike the amount of emphasis Investools

places on this methood. It often deceives newbies into thinking that it is a mechanical system and all you need to do is

wait around for three green arrows to show up. Don’t get me wrong, this will put the odds in your favor, but there is much

more than three arrows to make you a successful trader in the long run.

Thx

This was my attempt at it a while back. Never traded it. Went to the free 1 day seminar. Just a pitch to
get you to buy other packages for thousands of bucks. It was interesting anyway.

Thank you all for the information.
I will play with this in the s&p100 for a while and see what type
of results I get but I am sure they will be favorable since
as only being used as a filter to narrow down candidates
one could add a ranking filter similar to what Kevin_in_ga
uses for relative strength and this could be a monster :-)
Thanks again

Sigh...

Well I have been trying to plug in just the S&P500 but to no avail.
Safetrade - I love this filter but how do you pull the nasdaq and nyse out
and put in the S&P or any other symlist?
I want to try it with both the S&P500 and S&P100 and then potentially
a select list at a future time once I et this working.
Sorry to bug you for help on this but - help?
Thank you
