Invest4Today; I could sure use some help. For supposedly being a half bright guy, I seem to have developed a true mental block when it comes to using pivot points.
Respectfully, would you please help me? If you like please email me at SFMc01@aol.com.

First, specifically which pivot point calculation system do you use? Do you use Opening Price in your calculations such as described in the article you mentioned in investopedia?

Do you automate the drawing of all of the lines in TradeStation or somer similar trading platform?

Do you do any trading automation?

Thank you ... Steve

Invest4Today: You also state, "My rule is to wait for green candle completely above pivot point or resistance level. When I say completely above that includes the wick. "

Please help me further. Are you using a one minute chart? Do you have these lines drawn on the chart? If so, again which charting software are you using?

Thanks ... Steve

Hi JohnPaul,

Thanks for the booyah chart, for HMSY is the close at the bb40 median line make this chart ideal?

Do you mind whipping through these charts to see if I'm on the right track?

I got these results: GDX, HMY,ACOR, LIHR, MYGN, TSYS, OCN and of of course HMSY.

Thanks again.

Actually, seems DUMB to buy FAS.
Seems better to short FAZ.
----------------------------------------------------------

The %'s are the same, the are ment to be the inverse to each other.

edit--

holy crap they are diverging-

FAZ down -4.71%
FAS up 2.27%

Thas seems very odd they usally dont vary more than a few tenths.
There was huge volume in FAS today must have overwelmed the underlying.

I wonder if you took half your money and bought FAS and then bought FAZ with the other half you could make a sweet 2% with very low risk. I will not try but will watch to see what happens. One of them needs to move 2.3% in the direction of the other. My guess is FAZ is oversold.
