intraday trading:
We're now on the 2nd bar on 30-min chart this should tell you who's controlling that stock.
FANG: below $91.48 sellers are in control
AMZN: above $958.36 buyers are in control
SPY: 244.60 above bulls, below bears
note: price levels are approximations

JP,
Please read my previous message.**
I'm not sure anyone here is trading FANG (unless you are).
I believe we were all referring to (the group) FANG(s) -- not the stock.
Edit:
** Bottom of tab #4 in this thread
My apologies again for the misunderstanding.

Wasn't aware of the the acronym since I don't creep out forums. Yes I have traded FANG in the past but the volume can be sucky for day traders.

Caffeinated Karen, I dont think anyone thought NVDA was going lower. I think resistance was 95 at the time. it busted above that.

pthomas215 -
I don't mean people here.
In fact, the entire 3 months I held NVDA, I avoided talking about it because it wasn't going up -- and worse, I'd bought it accidentally. Even the recent "windfall" was an accident.
I just didn't want to take a loss. It stayed below my buy price ($110) a long time.

CK, no worries. you did well ! you are to be congratulated. Now, that said, I still think in the near term shorting the Nasdaq and XLF are decent plays.

Actually, FANG is a pretty well-known acronym.
As per Investopedia:
BREAKING DOWN 'FANG Stocks'
FANG represents the most popular and best performing tech stocks in the market which have generated spectacular returns for their investors. The four stocks – Facebook, Amazon, Netflix, and Alphabet

If you google trading Fangs, you will find references by Benzinga, Mark Cuban, Fool.com, Investors.com, thestreet.com, FT.com (Financial Times), Forbes.com, Futuresmag.com, cnbc.com, -- given that it's on "CNBC, I figured every joe schmuck knew what FANGs were.
I read a lot -- not necessarily "creepy forums".

Yep the real fang is a choppy mess. LOL. I think it is great that JP has insulated himself from all the BS. I try to not follow that business news stupidity, but obviously I can take it to a new level.
