Unsold % : 13.04 (11.53)
Summary:
What a crazy week. Market opened deep red and I was like yes, it is gonna be a good week for this strategy. Orders in morning went throught great and the whole week was a cluster F after that. Talk about value stocks getting slammed. I am glad I have reduced my per stock order. I am further going to reduce per stock to just about $100. Having about 40 unsold stocks getting blitzed each week is to be honest kinda nerve wracking.
I am yet to compute total losses from all the unsold stocks and I have a feeling it may be beyond what my profits are. November Dec and Jan have been pretty bad so far.
On a positive note, etrade bot is designed and I have placed some test orders. so next 2 weeks as I am testing the new bot, I will be making manual exit orders and then after that it will be done automatically if all goes well.

Due to the risk-off environment I went back to day-trading SPY on the 5-minute chart. I placed seven trades and all seven were winners. Six of the trades were Longs and one was a short. Made over 4.3k for the week so I'm happy with the results.
The average daily range of SPY is 1.31%. I wait for a pullback and then try to achieve a .20% gain per trade. The average gain last week per trade was .32%. Works well with a decent size account to trade with.
I think Muddy did something like this with Apple. Wait for green, make a quick trade or two and then go fishing.

Hi Dave
You exit at .2% gain? You must have quite the "decent" size account to begin with :)
I did analysis on AAPL and i agree with this. a .27% gain each day has a 88 percent success between mon and wed. i thik around 80% on fridays. That's based on my five year analysis of AAPL daily values
buy at open and exit at .33% or something. I have not done the same for SPY but looks promising and that's a great strategy.

Davesaint, I trade options on SPY daily using the 30 min ORB (open range breakout). I have
found that buying ATM (at the money) calls or puts gives me a 40 cent move on the
underlying SPY 90% of the time - $20 / contract - and a $1 move on SPY 70% of the time - $50 /
contract.
After the 1st 30 min bar and I am in the breakout, I switch to 5 min bars to manage the trade.
This is an easy money maker if you understand and can trade options. I am usually in and out of
these trades within 2 hours and done for the day.

So something like buy to open the 2/2/21 438 Call at 8.35? Can you provide an example of what you would buy today? Thanks.

Yes, a high probability trade. In the class I'm taking the instructor stated to use the 20 ATR SMA value for the chart you are trading. So, on the 5-mintue chart based on the end-of-the-day closing candle the 20 ATR SMA value is 1.18. 1.18 x 2 = 2.36. If you are risking $1,000 per trade based on a $100,000 account size = 1000/2.36 =424 shares of SPY to Purchase. What has been interesting is the small drawdowns I've experienced last week. Most drawdowns have been less than $100. Friday, my drawdown on one trade spiked to $600 and 30 seconds later I was in the green.

Crazy trading today. 3 Winners and 2 Losers. I had a $3650 drawdown on one trade and $1750 drawdown on another and finished up +$1,151.26. I can't believe I escaped today with gains.
Daily range over 4% (Close to a $20 move SPY).

sorry about no updates the past two weeks. Been testing my trading bot and out of 20 buys there has only been 2 unsolds. So pretty good sp far
I have also been testing a new strategy and it has been working pretty good as well. That's a daily run and I will update that in a month time.
With regard to TRO i will update the numbers in a few days.
