Awhile ago this filter was in SF Show stocks where + DI(16)crossed aboveDI(16) within the last 1 day and Average Volume(10) is above 50000 and close is between 3 and 20 ( The original #s were 5 and 250 ) There was a suggestion that this filter works well in a trending market even without the ADX element. ( some systems combine both the DMI and ADX into one) the results are better when set to 32, also works better if you add 5 MA above 20 MA. Any Help developing that would be greatly appreciated. I think the consensus is that DMI does not work. Results look great because it's in a state of flux and changes. I pointed this out several years ago, some were angered at first. I may be wrong but this has been the experience of several.
